Hollow Revamped

If you’re a Sleepy Hollow fan and you’re anything like my sister, then you are extremely tired of Ichabod Crane’s wardrobe. Every Tuesday like clock-work I can hear my sister complaining. So, we thought we could make some suggestions on how to bring Mr. Crane into the future while still having the 18^th century feel.

 We think Sleepy Hollow stylists should take a look at Alexandre Plokhove Spring 2013 collection. Plokhove describes this collection as clergy attire.

A palette of coal, ash and alabaster gives off the dark & gloomy gothic feel of the show. The fabrics of corded cotton and vegetable-dyed leathers to open-weave Irish linen will help tell its story.

Another designer they should look at is Balmain Fashion House. Balmain is one of my sister’s favorite. Its Fall 2011 collection is pretty much perfect for Sleepy Hollow. Balmain gives you military jackets, stretchy paneled Biker jeans, plus straight-legged pants with piled on layers of hot menswear.

These collections are the definition of Sleepy Hollow in my opinion.

Watch Out!

As we fashion junkies know, accessories can be powerful because it completes a look. I want to take some time to talk about one of my favorite embellishments, and lucky for us watches are in trend.  There are 3 types of watches, dress, sporty and casual.

Most often, dress timepieces are gold or silver and are generally analog. They are best worn at formal events and parties… red, blue, yellow and brown colors are the perfect match for these particular watches.

Sporty watches, (which I love) are great oversized pieces that adds a boyish style. You can wear it with slouchy jeans and button downs. Another really cute trend is adding bracelets with an oversized watch… that is definitely an eye catcher.

If you want something to match your day-to-day apparel, casual watches are what you’re looking for. Casual timepieces can be very diverse and can be bought in either analog or digital plus the watch band can be leather as well as other materials.  

Street Stylin'

Luvin urban would not be complete without talking about urban streetwear most think that the key to streetwear is to wear everything big & baggy. If you stayed with that rule you would have been out of style in 2010. Streetwear is very versatile from wearing skinny jeans to baggy pants & jackets whether it's leather or jeans. Like most of urban wear it's about key pieces, stylish Tees, hoodies, ball caps, hot sneakers, eye catching rope & link chains, two/three finger rings, earrings (ie... door-knockers, hoops, for men diamond studs in one ear or both). Plus, big face watches.

Winter Fashion 2010/2011
