COLOR- Not afraid.........Just Confused (YOUR COLOR STORY)

Hey divas, on my last post, Just Confused, we talked about what colors match. Today, I want us to talk about how to tell your story.

Part of telling your color story is to know which colors work with each season. Warm colors are Red-Violet, Red, Red-orange, Orange, Yellow-orange, and Yellow. These hues represent energy and activity; they are mostly fashionable in Fall/Winter. Cool colors are Violet, Blue-violet, Blue, Blue-green, Green, Yellow-green (pastel colors). These hues are calm and soothing; they are mostly fashionable in Spring/Fall.

Warm colors have brightness that jumps out, whereas the cool color brightness is reduced. If you want to tell a story of bold strength go bright, ex: Red and Yellow.  Now, in case bold statements are just not your thing, take a cool color like a blue shirt then add a neutral color blazer.  Still, if you're weary of color, you can introduce it little by little. Accessorizing is great, this will give you that pop you are looking for.

COLOR- Not afraid... Just Confused (Match)

Hey fashion divas,  lets talk color. I know when most of you think color...fear sets in. You’re not afraid of using color... you’re just confused.  So, we’re going to break it down. First thing you need to know about color is what matches what. Second thing, color tells a story, and lastly how to induct color into your everyday life..... So what’s your story?

Ok, primary colors are Red, Blue, and Yellow. Secondary colors are Orange, Green, and Violet. What you need to know about these colors…. they are stand out hues that complement each other and can easily be added to your wardrobe.

Lets Match: yellow and violent, orange and blue, red and green (stay away from the last, it just screams Christmas). Put these hues with a neutral garment (brown, black, gray, white) and you will look stylish... Oh Yeah, standout colors are the hues that are opposite of each other, i.e. complementary colors.

In my next post we will get into how to tell your color story :)
