So, this Friday I had plans to go hang out with one of my close friends. It’s been a while, and we are all doing our adult thing so we really needed some down time. As I was getting ready I get a text, “I have nothing to wear”. Ok, I needed to keep this simple because we are supposed to meet up in about 7 minutes. I texted back… “ok girl grab a white tank, skinny jeans, a black blazer and a hot peer of pumps”. The next text I get back, and I’m quoting here, “You are asking for too much”. Lol, smh.. what I’m going to do with my friend.
After that conversation, I thought how many of us are having the same problem. How many times have we run to the mall to buy an outfit for a girl’s night out because we don’t have the essentials in our closet? So, I’ve put together 20 closet basics that every woman should have.

- Nice tees and tanks … not only black and white, add in some colorful ones.
- Tailored blazer… its versatile, perfect for work or play.
- Button-down shirt … it’s great to wear on its own or under a sweater... It should be flattering and accentuate your best features.
- Shirts and blouses… It could be a dressy top… or a top with sex a little appeal.

- Khaki trench… it never goes out of style.
- Cardigan, pullover and heavy sweaters … have some fun with your knit tops… Buy some colorful ones, some oversize ones and who doesn’t love an ugly sweater.
- LBD (little black dress) every woman should have one… It should make you feel sexy and sophisticated.
- Perfect pair of jeans… your jeans should always make you feel sexy and comfortable.

- Non visible panty line undies … panty lines are a no no.
- Bras… you need a black one, nude, pretty and control ones.
